B Corp Certification Update

Biotecture Inc. is proud to share a milestone in our journey toward values-driven growth and accountability. We have completed the B Impact Assessment and achieved a score of 59.8 in our first full evaluation. Full B Corp certification requires a minimum verified score of 80 points under the standards established by B Lab. Information about B Corp Certification can be found here and B Lab standards here.

The B Impact Assessment is a rigorous, globally recognized framework developed by B Lab to evaluate a company’s social and environmental performance, governance practices, and impact on workers, communities, and the environment. For an early-stage company, this score reflects meaningful progress in embedding impact into our organizational design from the outset.

This work was completed as part of our participation in the Venture for Canada ecosystem, whose support has been instrumental in strengthening our operational foundations, governance thinking, and long-term impact strategy. Through this process, we used the B Impact Assessment as a strategic tool to formalize practices aligned with our mission.

At Biotecture Inc., we are intentionally building toward certification. The assessment process has helped us identify clear, actionable areas for improvement across team practices, stakeholder engagement, transparency, and governance. These insights will guide our next phase of growth as we scale our work in research-informed, inclusive, and regenerative environmental design.

We are targeting full B Corp Certification in 2027. Until then, we remain committed to operating in alignment with B Corp principles and using this framework as a compass for continuous improvement.
